The DART study
is a completed study into the effectiveness of surgery versus plaster cast treatment in elderly patients with displaced radius fractures.
Both projects involve a lot of ‘computer work’, but the advantage is that you are in complete control (no delays due to administrative processes or recruiting participants). Read more about the DART study and the available projects here.
There is the possibility to participate in other projects at the same time in order to have contact with patients who are participating in scientific research. See the heading ‘research projects’ on this site for an overview of our current studies.
Available internship projects
1. Examining the potential added value of the win ratio; a reanalysis of the existing database.
2. Gaining insight into the number of surgical and plaster cast treatments at OLVG (and possibly also at other hospitals) and the complications that arise within standard care using the CTcue software program.
