Title: ‘(Costs)-effectiveness of dual-mobility cups for preventing dislocation after primary total hip arthroplasty compared to unipolar cups in elderly patients: design of a randomized controlled trial nested in the Dutch Arthroplasty Registry.’

Principal investigator: Prof. Dr. R.W. Poolman
Contact: L.W.A.H van Beers & E. Scheijbeler

The REDEP study is an ongoing study for which patients are still being approached. Patients can only participate if they are treated in a center which received approval from the Medical Ethical Committee. At the moment 11 centers are participating.

Presentations

EHS congress, REDEP, Loes van Beers

Loes van Beers presented the REDEP-study at the conference of the European Hip Society (EHS), on 10 September 2021. She presented her research on dual mobility cups: is there a difference in the number of dislocations after a THA between dual mobility cups and unipolar cups? Both the systematic review and the REDEP study were discussed.
